TiniFiber would like to extend our deepest sympathy for the victims and families of the horrible tragedy that took place in Las Vegas on the night of Oct. 1st 2017. Because the BICSI show was held at the Mandalay Bay and finished just several days before Oct. 1st, we postponed our official post show follow-up until today.
The 2017 BICSI Fall Conference & Exhibition in Las Vegas was a big success. The team from TiniFiber spent three days at the busy exhibit hall (booth #745) showcasing our innovative Micro Armor Fiber solutions. TiniFiber was one of the only exhibitors at the BICSI Fall 2017 show to have samples of the new OM5 (Wide Band Multimode )fiber optic cable, something we were very excited to share with BICSI members. We also featured our new PUSHABLE Fiber to the Home (Micro Armor FTTH) cable, a product that has major implications for the broadband market and fiber deep architectures.
Our Micro Armor Fiber product, which is considered the most agile and durable fiber optic cable in the industry, had a big impact on attendees. At 65% Smaller and 75% Lighter than traditional Aluminum Interlocking Armor, visitors were very enthusiastic about taking samples of the product. Being able to show an installer or integrator an armored fiber solution that benefits a project across so many levels is why we are so passionate about our product. From the cost savings associated with the reduction in labor and time spent installing such a small and flexible armored cable, to the reduction in cable mass and congestion, it was evident that our breakthrough solution in Armored Fiber cabling is making a huge impact across the industry.
2017 BICSI Fall Conference and Exhibition – The Show Stopper:
Once again the show stopper for us was our 2” conduit comparison (pictured below), which shows the pathway capacity difference between 2 types of armored fiber cables; Aluminum Interlocking Armor (AIA) vs. Micro Armor Fiber. Incredibly, the use of Micro Armor Fiber results in a 500% increase in pathway capacity, or 6X more fiber connectivity in the 2 inch conduit space. Correspondingly, it also yields an approximate 80% reduction in cable congestion for the same level of connectivity.
Whether viewed as a reduction in cable congestion or an increase in capacity, this pathway optimization is a crucial benefit of this innovative Micro Armor Fiber solution developed by TiniFiber. It has major implications for the data connectivity industry, as data demand and overall connected communication continue to grow exponentially while infrastructure and physical space are increasingly at a premium.
