The Moynihan Train Hall, located in Midtown, was created to relieve crowding within Penn Station, New York’s transportation hub for the MTA-Long Island Railroad, as well as Amtrak. The architectural, design, engineering and planning firm involved in the Moynihan Train Hall project is Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM).
The U.S. patented and UL-approved TiniFiber Micro Armor Fiber Optic Cabling Solution was applied in all of the digital displays throughout the new Moynihan Train Hall plaza. Proving to be a major advantage over traditional Aluminum Interlocking Armor (AIA) was TiniFiber’s small size and light weight which facilitated its application in tight conduit spaces.
