Does TiniFiber offer a warranty?

Yes, a 25 Year product warranty and a 25 Year Connector to Connector warranty are available, each require the submission of proper documentation. The 25 Year Connector to Connector warranty is only available to TiniFiber Certified Installers.

Who makes the glass for TiniFiber?

TiniFiber uses Corning® ClearCurve® glass as the standard for all micro armored cables. In addition to Corning, TiniFiber also uses other bend-insensitive glass manufacturers who meet or exceed the multi-mode performance requirements. If requested, TiniFiber will ensure that the requested cables are made using Corning glass.

Are special tools needed to prepare TiniFiber for termination/splicing?

No special tools are needed, common tools most fiber technicians already have are all that is needed.

Is TiniFiber compatible with commonly available termination practices and products?

Yes, our 250um and 900um coated fibers are 100% compatible with commonly available connectors and products.

Is it necessary to ground TiniFiber?

Anytime armored cable enters a building from an OSP environment the cable would be grounded. It is always best to check with the AHJ “Authority Having Jurisdiction” in your local area.

How do you ground TiniFiber?

TiniFiber offers grounding lugs PN# TF-GC01 for 2 through 24 strand cables and, TF-GC02 for 48 through 144 strand cables.

How is the stainless-steel armor removed?

An easy twist and stretching motion will separate the armor enough for it to be cut with side cutters and removed. Video demonstrations are available on our web site.

What environments are TiniFiber’s cables rated for?

TiniFiber offers all the commonly available environmental cable jackets used in the United States including LSZH jackets.

Does TiniFiber offer project registration for large projects?

TiniFiber has a project registration form qualified projects.

How long does it take for my order to ship?

TiniFiber stocks over 6 million feet of cable in our warehouse and most in-stock orders ship within 48 hours. Custom-made cables may take between 8 to 12 weeks and have minimum order quantities.

Does TiniFiber sell Fiber Optic cable directly to contractors or end users?

TiniFiber only sells through approved distribution networks.

Does TiniFiber manufacture custom cable assemblies?

TiniFiber offers many types of custom assemblies built in our Long Island NY facility. Additional we work with a nationwide network of cable assembly houses to ensure prompt delivery for our customers’ projects. Please ask your sales representative for additional information.

Does TiniFiber offer fan out kits for the 250um (loose tube) fiber?

TiniFiber offers Fan-Out kits available for 6,12 and 24 count buffer tubes. Available part numbers are TFBK-6, PN, TFBK-12, and TFBK-24.

Which fiber counts are available in 900um (tight buffer)?

TiniFiber currently offers 900um Tight Buffer cables up to and including 24 fiber strands.

Which fiber counts are available in 250um (loose tube)?

TiniFiber currently offers Gel-free Sub-unitized Breakout style cables utilizing 250um up to and including 144-strand, commonly available in 12, 24,36,48,72,96 and 144 counts.

Does TiniFiber offer fusion splicing equipment?

TiniFiber offers fusion splicers for both single fiber and ribbon fiber splicing applications, please check with your sales rep for additional information.
