TiniFiber Announces the Unexpected Passing of Its President Steve Shultis

May 24, 2024

LINDENHURST, NEW YORK – May 24th, 2024 – TiniFiber, the exclusive manufacturer of the patented Micro Armor Fiber™ optical cabling solutions, announces with profound sadness the passing of its President, Steve Shultis, following a brief illness. Steve was an inspirational leader and a well-loved colleague who played a key role in creating the foundations for TiniFiber’s future success. His contributions to the company and the industry at large were immeasurable, and he will be greatly missed.

Steve Shultis had an outstanding track record of delivering results in both sales and business leadership positions over his more than 20 years in the semiconductor and electronics industries. His most recent roles included VP & GM at Foxconn Interconnect Technologies, and Sr. Director of Marketing & Sales at Foxconn Optical Interconnect Technologies, where he managed half a US billion dollars in revenues. Steve was recognized for his achievements in sales and marketing leadership roles at Avago Technologies, Lattice Semiconductor, and Future Electronics, with extensive international experience in China, APAC, North America, and Europe. Steve held a BSEE from the University of Nevada, Reno, and was a veteran of the United States Navy.

Effective immediately, Tom Brown will be leading day to day efforts on an interim basis. Tom has worked closely with Steve and shares his commitment to the company’s vision and mission. We honor Steve’s memory by continuing the work he was so passionate about, and we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and all who were touched by his leadership.

“We are deeply saddened by Steve’s passing,” said Christian Peterson, Founder of Tinifiber.  “Steve was a great colleague and friend, and his vision and leadership have been instrumental in shaping TiniFiber into the company it is today. We are committed to carrying forward his legacy and continuing the work he was so passionate about. Our team remains dedicated to achieving the goals we set together and honoring his memory through our continued success.”
