The past month has been a busy stretch for the TiniFiber team, with stops at two major industry events in the US: ISE Expo 2026 in Nashville and BICSI Beyond in Las Vegas.

Two fantastic cities, in two very different states, with two-thousand miles in between … and two very different show floors.

Despite these differences, there was one commonality. In both, we saw significant interest in people trying to answer the same question: “Given the demand for connectivity is continuing to grow, how can we add more fiber without making installations bigger, heavier, or more complicated?”

Starting in Nashville

Nashville is the home of country music, with the Grand Ole Opry, and the starting place for many a legendary career. And this year it was also the home to the ISE Expo, held at the Music City Center.

While attendees were here from across the country, the state of Tennessee has a highly dispersed population and is seeking to improve rural connectivity and upgrade its networks to businesses and homes.

The focus for TiniFiber in Nashville was therefore the showcasing of our Micro Armor^® fiber optic cabling technology – demonstrating how a smaller, lighter approach to armored fiber can help installers make better use of existing infrastructure. It is:

• 75% lighter
• 65% thinner
• 50% smaller bend radius

That adds up to more room in congested pathways, and a cable that’s easier to handle and route. It also simplifies and speeds installation, with the lighter fiber allowing for smaller installation teams and faster pull times to give a potential installation cost reduction of up to 62.5% per 1,000 feet.

Nashville was extra special this time around, too – it was TiniFiber’s first major show since acquiring CoreLinc. The acquisition brings together TiniFiber’s cabling technology with CoreLinc’s connectivity expertise, services, and logistics capabilities, giving customers across North America a stronger combined offering.

Booth visitors got the full tour – Micro Armor, pre-terminated MPO assemblies, tools, test solutions, and custom cabling options – basically a mini masterclass in what the newly combined team can do at every stage of a fiber deployment.

Next Stop: Las Vegas

Leaving the home of country music, the team headed to Las Vegas: the entertainment capital of the world. Here, BICSI Beyond was held at Mandalay Bay.

While Las Vegas and Nashville may be world renowned for the shows they put on, their states are hugely disparate, with Nevada’s population being centralised around Las Vegas and Reno and the state itself being largely desert.

The result is that Nevada is a huge hub for data centers, campuses and business parks, and that dictates very different connectivity needs versus Tennessee. The focus at BICSI Beyond therefore shifted toward the practical side of fiber deployment.

TiniFiber once again demonstrated Micro Armor, with a huge interest in not just our offerings for indoor and conduit technologies, but our outside plant and direct burial cables, which allow unprotected fiber to be placed into the ground without worrying about damage from chemicals, water ingress, freezing or rodents.

Taking this approach hugely reduces the cost of installation further, and the direct burial still retains the weight and thickness benefits that come with our patented steel-Kevlar armor.

And like Tennessee, installation efficiency was another key topic on the floor. Indeed, with installation and contractor costs increasing continuously, especially in states such as Nevada and its neighboring states like California and Arizona, this is possibly far from surprising.

What We Took Away

While ISE Expo and BICSI Beyond each had their own focus, the message from both was clear: network demand is increasing, but the physical space available to support that growth isn’t necessarily keeping pace.

That makes efficient fiber design increasingly important. The ability to fit more capacity into existing infrastructure, while also simplifying installation, can have a meaningful impact on both network design and deployment costs.

The events also provided a valuable opportunity to introduce more of the industry to TiniFiber and CoreLinc as a combined business, while listening to the engineers, installers, and network professionals dealing with these challenges every day.

For us, that’s one of the best things about industry events. The presentations and product demonstrations are important, but the conversations around them often provide the most useful insight.
