Will lead sales, pricing, channel and partner programs, with focus on federal and defense sector, data centers, broadband and carriers, plus other strategic accounts
LINDENHURST, NEW YORK – October 21st, 2026 – TiniFiber®, the innovator and patent holder behind the industry’s most advanced lightweight fiber optic cabling systems, has appointed Rafael Fernandez to the position of Chief Revenue Officer. The creation of the role highlights both TiniFiber’s rapid growth and its intention to further enhance this trajectory.
In his new role, Fernandez will be accountable for driving revenue growth across all TiniFiber business units. He will lead the company’s sales organization and go-to-market strategy and oversee its channel and partner programs. His focus will include expanding TiniFiber’s presence in key markets, including federal and defense, data centers, broadband and carriers, and other strategic market segments.
Fernandez has spent over 18 years in the fiber and broadband sector and joins from Clearfield, where he most recently served as Director of National Accounts. In that role, he led a Tier 1 and Tier 2 carrier strategy that grew the business 2.8-fold in two years.
He was also pivotal in the company’s response to the BEAD, RDOF and E-ACAM public programs to enhance broadband access and bandwidth, especially in unserved and underserved areas. Fernandez also has extensive experience beyond the US, in the Latin American and Caribbean markets, building Clearfield’s presence there from the ground up, launching a Caribbean sales territory while at Power & Telephone, and managing Latin American and Caribbean accounts when at Grainger.
Tom Artinian, TiniFiber CEO, said: “Rafael’s track record speaks for itself. The growth he drove at Clearfield is an extraordinary achievement. TiniFiber is now in a rapid-growth phase and bringing in a commercial leader of Rafael’s caliber is a natural next step. His deep expertise across Tier 1 carriers, data centers, and key public funding programs will be invaluable as we expand our market footprint.”
“TiniFiber’s technology and momentum in the market make this the right time to join the team. As demand accelerates across data centers, broadband, and defense sectors, my priority will be to build on the strong foundation the team has created, sharpen our commercial strategy, expand our partner network, and ensure we capture the vast opportunities ahead. I’m excited to get started and even more excited about what we’ll build together,” said Fernandez.
